Riley Kennedy, 12, entered the Horsham Centre Cinema and Horsham Toyworld Lego competition, which invited Wimmera children to create a Lego masterpiece.
Riley’s winning design was of the 20th Century Fox logo.
Riley’s mum Kelly Norton said he had always loved movie logos.
“Even when he was younger, we had to turn his name into a logo to help him learn how to write it,” she said.
“Now he builds logos out of Lego all the time.”
Ms Norton said Riley’s design had a few mishaps.
“It has broken three times – once in the cinema when a poster fell on it,” she said.
Ms Norton said it broke twice more when being transported to and from the cinema.
“It was actually good that it broke at the cinema, so the people there could see him put it back together,” she said.
Ms Norton said it only took Riley about 10 minutes to create the piece.
“He just instinctively knows the different sizes he needs to use,” she said.
“He has a good eye for that sort of thing.”
Riley won a Horsham Toyworld voucher, movie tickets and a first place ribbon.
Ms Norton said Riley had created many other Lego creations, which were displayed in their house.
