Millicent detectives and Bordertown police arrested Shane Rogers, 42, in Bordertown on Thursday.
He was allegedly involved in an aggravated robbery at a Bordertown service station on April 30.
Rogers was denied police bail and faced Mount Gambier Magistrate's Court on Friday, where he was further remanded in custody until July.
He was charged with having committed theft using force, having used an offensive weapon, and having provided a false name.
Detective Senior Constable Travis Kerr of Horsham Crime Investigation Unit said Horsham police were also keen to speak to Rogers.
"Horsham police are seeking to speak to him in relation to an armed robbery at Horsham BP Petrol Station on April 30," he said.
"Police are still seeking information from anyone that might be able to assist relating to the incident."
He said people could call Horsham Police Station on 5382 9200.
