Northern Grampians Highway Patrol clocked the man’s vehicle at 151 kilometres an hour on Streatham-Carngham Road, Stoneleigh, at 4.34pm on Thursday.
Sergeant Rod Davis said the signposted speed limit was 100 kilometres an hour.
“That is just totally unacceptable,” he said.
He said exceeding the speed limit by more than 50kmh showed a disregard for every other road user’s safety.
The man, 38, also lost eight demerit points.
