Horsham woman Marcia Carrick and about 20 of her family and friends were part of Breast Cancer Network Australia's Field of Women.
Wearing hot pink ponchos, they walked onto the turf alongside more than 10,000 other participants.
The group formed a massive pink lady to show their support for people affected by breast cancer.
Each year, more than 15,000 Australians are diagnosed with breast cancer.
About 125 participants wore blue ponchos to represent affected men.
Mrs Carrick has been a breast cancer survivor for 12 years.
She said the experience on Saturday moved her.
"Regardless of whether you've come from Horsham or Darwin, you're all there as one to support people affected by breast cancer," she said.
"It's very touching to think we're all there for the same cause."
Of the group of 20 people she travelled with, six were cancer survivors.
Others had supported family and friends through their battles with the disease.
Mrs Carrick said she would participate in the Field of Women initiative for a third time if she had the opportunity.
She was first part of it in 2010.
Proceeds from the Field of Women are donated to Breast Cancer Network Australia.
Closer to home, Mrs Carrick is part of Horsham Friends Abreast.
The group meets on the first Friday of every month at 11.30am at Horsham Catholic Church.
"We are always looking for new, young members," Mrs Carrick said.
