McDonald has been through a series of trials to qualify for the team since April, and found out she had been selected last week.
The team will play at the School Sport Australia netball championships in Melbourne from July 19 to 25.
It is the second time McDonald has been selected for the School Sport Victoria netball team.
Two years ago she was part of the 12-and-under girls team.
McDonald will play as a goalie.
Her mother Cath McDonald said her daughter was ecstatic to make the team again.
“She’s on top of the world at the moment, it’s quite amazing,” Mrs McDonald said.
McDonald will now travel to Melbourne for weekly training sessions with the team.
Horsham Saints netballer Ellie Breuer was also in the running to make the team.
Breuer made it through qualifying until the final cut, but just missed out on selection.
Mrs McDonald said Breuer should be proud of making it to the final round of selections.
