The Cougars returned to the winners list with a 63-point victory over Kingston at the weekend and now face the second-placed Tigers.
Cougars coach Neil Reeve said his side would give itself every chance of winning against the Tigers, who are coming off an eight-goal win against Keith.
“You always go in thinking you’re going to win, but it never just happens,” he said. “It’s going to be a good game – we’re expecting it, they’re a skilful team.”
Reeve said midfielder Matthew Skrypek would miss and captain Jonno Hicks was in doubt with a hamstring injury.
Damien Hawker is in the mix for senior selection after a string of solid performances in the reserves.
In other matches, Kingston will be chasing its first win against Padthaway at home, as will Kybybolite against Bordertown.
Ladder leader Penola will travel to fourth-placed Naracoorte, while Luncindale will host Keith and Border Districts has the bye.
