NORADJUHA-QUANTONG’S sputtering season is effectively on the line when it hosts Kalkee on Saturday.
The injury-stricken Bombers currently sit sixth on the ladder, trailing the fifth-placed Kees by four premiership points and about 75 percentage points.
A loss would mean a further drop in percentage and put them two wins off a finals spot nearing the half-way mark of the season.
Considering Kalkee has played in the past seven grand finals and is only just beginning to near its best form, that would be a hard gap for any team to bridge.
The Bombers will be sweating on forward Brian Harrison’s hamstring injury, which kept him out at the weekend.
The team struggled to score without Harrison as a focal point, and will need him against a resurgent Kees defence.
Kalkee coach Trevor O’Brien said his side still needed to find its best form right from the start of games.
“We’ll just keep changing things around pre-game until we get it right,” he said.
“They’ve got some good footballers, so we’d want to turn up ready to play.”
Paul Christian is a certain inclusion, but O’Brien said there were several others in contention for selection.
