Keith and Gwen Wood will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday.
The couple married at the Church of Christ in Horsham on May 22, 1954, after meeting through family.
"Keith's cousin was going with my sister at the time. They are married now too," Mrs Wood said.
The couple moved to Warracknabeal soon after they married, then moved back to Horsham eight years later.
Two weeks ago they moved to the Garden Village Retirement Home in Horsham.
"We had been living in the same house for 53 years, so we sold up and moved," Mrs Wood said.
"We have a great life here."
They have two children, Gayle and Geoff, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
"There are another two great-grandchildren on the way," Mrs Wood said.
She said the secret to 60 years of marriage was working together.
"If you don't work together, you'll be up the creek," she said.
"We were both brought up in Christian households and have a strong faith.
"It makes a difference.
"We never fight either."
Mrs Wood said they weren't planning anything special to celebrate the occasion.
"Not that we know of anyway," she said.
"The children might have planned something, though." ?
