FIVE YEARS AGO

Wimmera students and politicians have condemned proposed changes to the Federal Government’s Youth Allowance.

The changes will mean a student who once qualified for the allowance as an independent by earning $19,000 over an 18-month period will instead have to work 30 hours a week for 18 months to qualify.
