The annual event is at Wesley Performing Arts Centre in Horsham from 10am to 11.30am.
Meritum financial adviser Ashley Rowan said the morning tea would recognise how cancer had touched the lives of many community members.
In the past four years Meritum’s morning teas have raised $9200, with last year’s topping $3800.
Laharum will host its ninth Biggest Morning Tea event on Thursday in the Laharum Hall.
Laharum Biggest Morning Tea co-ordinator Liz Hopkins said the event had now grown into a lunch to help more people from across the district to attend.
“It’s going to be a real community event, especially after the fires,” she said.
“We’ve had a number of community gatherings, which have been really good for people.”
Mrs Hopkins said McGrath Foundation breast care nurse Wendy Crafter and Wimmera Uniting Care bushfire case manager Maggie Bridgewater would speak during the day.
She encouraged people to arrive at 11.30am for a noon lunch with all proceeds going to the Cancer Council.
