The town welcomed hundreds of people from as far as Merimbula, Mildura, Horsham, Ballarat and Pomonal for the event.
Creekside Hotel owner and organiser Sally Gebert said the festival drew more than double the number of people at last year’s inaugural event.
The first food fest celebrated the business’s name change from the Commercial Hotel.
Mrs Gebert said she was thrilled with this year’s response.
“It was an amazing day – the weather was perfect, the food was good, the entertainment was great and the kids were happy,’’ she said.
“Everything just went really well.
“People had a really chilled, relaxed, social afternoon.’’
Food and wine were features of the event, with 17 different foods to taste.
Mrs Gebert said adults enjoyed a range of drinks and foods such as vindaloo and waffles.
She said children were fans of a lolly station.
The family-friendly event also included face-painting, juggling and a jumping castle.
Mrs Gebert said a fireworks display at the end of the day topped off the event.
“They were just beautiful,’’ she said.
She was pleased with the event’s success.
“The comments were fantastic,’’ she said.
“People are really looking forward to next year.
“Plans are under way to make next year bigger and better than ever.’’
Mrs Gebert thanked people for their support and credited the Creekside Hotel staff for the festival’s success.
“Our team is amazing,’’ she said.
