Sedgman has been picked as part of a 29-person Australian shooting team for the Glasgow games.
Shooting Australia heralded the Australian contingent as the strongest national squad picked for a Commonwealth Games.
Sedgman shot in the 2010 Delhi games as a 16-year-old, winning a gold medal in the women’s 50-metre three position shoot and competing in the 50-metre prone.
She also shot at the London Olympics in 2012, finishing 52nd in the women’s 10-metre air rifle competition.
Sedgman will get a chance to defend her gold medal in the three-position event and will also shoot in the 50-metre prone.
She will be joined by Australian shooting stars, including Olympians Michael Diamond and Russell Mark.
The Commonwealth Games will run from July 23 to August 3.
