More than 25 businesses will participate in the Wimmera Mail-Times initiative, now in its sixth year.
Mail-Times advertising manager Clint King encouraged shoppers to support the event.
“The aim of the day is to heavily promote stocktake savings in Horsham, to get people out and about, enjoying massive bargains, supporting local businesses and having a great day,” he said.
“Customers will benefit from fantastic savings on end-of-season and overstocked items by shopping at participating Horsham businesses.”
Horsham Newsagency manager Robyn Atherton said the Super Stocktake Sale always created a lot of interest.
“It’s a great opportunity for customers to pick up a bargain,” she said.
“It will be interesting to see how it goes on a Thursday rather than a Friday this year.”
Mr King said the sale was moved to a Thursday following feedback from businesses and Business Horsham.
Thrifty shoppers will also benefit from free parking.
Mr King said parking meters having their fees waived would be clearly marked and time limits would still apply.
Three Mail-Times readers won $100 vouchers to be used at participating businesses.
Winners Fiona Knight, Melissa Anne Keel-Groth and Claire Kelly all entered the competition via the Wimmera Mail-Times Facebook page.
