Philip Collins, Indika Kariyawasam, Kinnari Patel and Dhakshina Siriwardena took the citizenship pledge at Horsham Civic Centre on Monday night.
Mrs Patel said it was a dream come true.
“I’m really happy to become an Australian citizen,” she said.
“I’ve been waiting five years for this, so it is exciting.”
Mrs Patel migrated from India to Australia five years ago with her husband Nilesh Patel.
The Patels have been in Horsham for about two and a half years.
“I really like it here,” Mrs Patel said.
“I like living in a smaller town, but it’s not too small. It has everything you need.”
