WEATHER

Severe weather is expected in the Wimmera today. There is a chance of hail and thunder throughout the region. Snow showers are expected in the Grampians above 700 metres. After an overnight low of 8 there is an expected top of 13.

FIVE YEARS AGO

Two disability services have expressed interest in Karkana should its financial members vote against a proposed merger with The Wool Factory at a June 29 meeting. The Karkana Support Services board of management has called on members to endorse the merger with chairman Jeff Rigby warning the service would go into administration if members reject the plan.
