President John Finn said a performance from award-winning Elvis tribute artist Damian Mullin on Saturday night would be the highlight of the three-day event.
“He’s fantastic,” he said. “He’s well known up here – his mother lives in Horsham.”
The festival kicks off with a dance extravaganza on the Friday night in the Horsham College hall.
On July 19, there will be a dancing demonstration in Horsham Plaza from 11am.
Horsham act The Spectacles will perform from 2pm in Horsham College hall and again during Rock Around the Clock on Saturday night.
“We’ve got The Cruisers from Mt Gambier on Friday and Saturday nights and they’re a very well respected rock and roll band,” Mr Finn said.
“You know what you’re going to get with The Cruisers – dance music.”
Mr Finn said Rock Around the Clock would kick off from 8pm on the Saturday in the Horsham College hall.
On July 20, there will be a free barbecue and dancing in the Haven Hall from 10am.
A rock and roll dancing workshop will cap off the weekend at Haven Hall from noon.
Mr Finn said he had a long affinity with rock and roll dancing.
“I was brought up in the 1950s and ’60s and I was dancing rock and roll when I was 14 years old,” he said.
