Former president Jenny Payne said insufficient membership had forced the group to disband at the end of the financial year.

Wimmera Entertainer Network was down to three members.

"Wayne Lentsment, Wimmera Entertainer Network's founding member, will continue to provide quality entertainment in the region, but with a declining membership it wasn't viable to keep the network running," Mrs Payne said.

"We have enjoyed entertaining the Wimmera."

She said Wimmera Entertainer Network had started as a group of clowns.

"It grew to involve a varied group of entertainers, including face painters, balloon sculptors, jugglers, puppeteers and a musician,'' she said.

"Wimmera Entertainer Network proved popular at children's parties, at Horsham Plaza during holidays, at horse and greyhound racing events and many agricultural shows and community arts festivals throughout the region."

The group has donated all its assets and almost $2500 to Dooen Public Hall committee to assist with refurbishments.

"With the Dooen Public Hall going through a new lease of life, these assets should be a benefit to the committee," Mrs Payne said.

"Wimmera Entertainer Network wishes Dooen Public Hall a long and happy future, because it provides a great venue in the community."
