The Eagles have played the league's top five sides Penola, Bordertown, Keith, Kaniva-Leeor United and Padthaway in succession and lost all five matches by an average margin of more than 17 goals.
But the ninth-placed Eagles will have the opportunity to turn around their form against the eighth-placed Kangaroos.
Eagles coach Mark Good said his side had shown resolve despite the tough run.
"I've never had that ever as a coach, coming up against the top-five sides all in a row," he said.
"In saying that, to the guys' credit they're still very positive and upbeat.
"You could forgive them for being a bit down, but they're training well, still pretty positive and hanging in there."
The Kangaroos claimed the four points when the clubs met in round two, with a nine-goal-to-nil second term the difference in the 52-point result.
But both sides have two wins to their name and Good believes his charges can turn the tables.
"It's about time we reversed the trend a bit," he said.
"We'll be going with full out attack this week, we want to take the game on.
"We've been chasing jumpers for the last five weeks, so it would be good to have a competitive game where we can take them on.
"We match up pretty well with them all over the ground, so we're pretty confident."
Good said on-baller Elijah Ware and centre half-back Paul Light were possible inclusions.
However, he said Brodie Adams who last played in round three would miss the rest of the season after undergoing a shoulder operation on Monday.
In the round's three other matches, ladder leader Padthaway will host a red-hot Keith, Bordertown will visit Kingston with a top-two berth up for grabs and Naracoorte will look to claim its fourth win for the season at Kybybolite.
