A severe weather warning is in place for the Wimmera this morning, so be sure to take care if you're out and about. With strong winds forecast, make sure you don't have any bits and pieces lying around your backyard that could cause damage. Expect a top temperature of 14.

FIVE YEARS AGO

Horsham Rural City Council has deferred making a decision to approve a private Quantong motorbike track. Merv Williams applied to the council for a planning permit for a track and associated earthworks at his property after already starting the track.

Horsham RSL has announced plans to expand, creating more space for memorabilia, functions and for members to congregate. President John Brondsema said the RSL had bought land fronting Baillie Street.
