FIVE YEARS AGO
Victorian Premier John Brumby is tipped to announce $5 million for the new Horsham arts and cultural centre.
Mr Brumby is expected to announce the funding during a visit to Horsham to officially open the final stage of the Firebrace Street redevelopment project at 12.30pm.
Horsham Rural City Council has been awaiting a response since early June after applying for $5 million through the State Government’s Regional Development Infrastructure Fund.
The State Government money will give a green light to the $12-million arts and cultural centre, which has already attracted $5 million from the Federal Government.
