EDENHOPE-APSLEY is hoping a week off has not sapped its momentum as it gets ready to host Natimuk United at Apsley on Saturday.
The Saints produced arguably their best performance of the season, a 13-point loss to Laharum in which they led for nearly three quarters, in the week before the interleague break.
After the break the team seemingly slumped, losing consecutive games to Kalkee and Harrow-Balmoral.
Saints coach Grant Coxon said his players could not afford a similar drop off in intensity after another break.
“We need to build up some momentum in the run up to the finals,” Coxon said.
Forward Mat Cranage would seriously be considered for selection after returning through the reserves.
Cranage is returning from ankle surgery.
Natimuk United coach Tim Friend will miss two games through suspension.
