Their destination is a village called Saanapu on the southern end of the island of Upolu .
Village children will receive a gift of information technology.
The children have an information technology room, but lack equipment.
The mission group will equip the room with laptops and printers, and will teach the children and their teachers how to use them.
"The group will also initiate a pen friends program ," church office co-ordinator Jenny Payne said. "It will give the Samoans the opportunity to continue their English and help members of the Uniting Church learn about the Samoan culture."
The program will continue after the trip has ended.
The group will also participate in a worship service and members have been learning to sing some songs in Samoan. Church minister Rev Tupe Ioelu will lead the group.
A concert in Horsham Uniting Church at 2pm on Sunday will help raise money towards the equipment .
The concert will feature performances from Rev Tupe, members of the mission group and a guest appearance by Sing Australia.
Organisers said the cost was $10 a person and tickets could be bought at the door.
