Mrs Scott was diagnosed with stage four bowel and liver cancer in May.
Her friend Bree Pickering will shave her head to raise money for Mrs Scott, her husband Ben and sons Harvey, 7, and Archie, 4.
Mrs Pickering will lose her locks at a family fun day at Stawell Racecourse next month.
Mrs Scott said she was initially overwhelmed by her friend’s gesture.
“She’s one of those people who would do anything for anyone. I would do the same for her. I am very proud to have her as a friend,” she said.
Mrs Pickering’s ‘My Shave for Binny’ Facebook page has raised $20,000 since May, through donations and auctions on a range of items donated by businesses, family members and friends.
“The response has been amazing,” Mrs Scott said.
“To think we have so much support from the Stawell community, even though we've lived in Ballarat for the past couple of years, is wonderful.
"I just can’t thank people enough.”
The Stawell, Navarre, Swifts and Great Western football and netball clubs have also thrown their support behind the Scotts.
The family fun day will be at Stawell Racecourse on August 3 from 11am to 4pm. There will be live music, a sausage sizzle, cake stall and mini market.
Children will be entertained by a jumping castle, mini zoo, face-painting and appearances from Iggle Piggle and Peppa Pig.
Admission is $25 for families, $10 for singles and free for children under the age of three.
Mrs Scott said people could visit the Facebook appeal page for more information.
She finished her fourth round of chemotherapy this week.
“The doctors have given me a prognosis of two to five years, but I’m not listening to that number,” she said.
“I’ve got too much to live for.”
