Northern Grampians Shire Council wants the State Government to commission an independent review of Stawell Athletic Club’s plan for the Stawell Gift.

The club has released a July 2009 business plan outlining three options — continue under constant financial pressure, reduce the event to a one-day meet or change the model of the event, including a change of location.
