HARROW-BALMORAL will look to change things up against Natimuk United on Saturday as it tries to kickstart its stalling season.
The Roos have played well enough to earn fourth place on the ladder and a 10-4 record, but have seemingly lost momentum in the past month of football.
They have only won twice in their past four games.
The first was an eight-point win over eighth-placed Noradjuha-Quantong and the other was a triumph over winless Pimpinio.
Roos coach Brent Forsyth said the team needed to figure out how to get its spark back.
“It might be time to start throwing the magnets around on the whiteboard, because what we’re doing doesn’t seem to be working too well,” he said.
“We’re going along alright at the moment, but we’re not where we’d like to be.
“Our forward line has gone a bit stale at times, and whether it’s structure or some of our bit-part players not cottoning on to what they have to do, I’m not sure.”
Forsyth said the team’s defence had been superb, but the midfield needed to make better choices going forward.
Luke Merryfull will add some grunt around the ball for the Roos.
Forsyth said he had not finalised any other changes.
Natimuk United coach Tim Friend will return from a two-match suspension for criticising the league on social media.
He said he was looking forward to getting back on the field.
“They gave us a bit of a touch-up last time, and Brent’s got them playing a good style of game,” he said.
“There are a lot of players such as him and Callum Hobbs who we have to watch out for.”
Matt Cozens and Jeremy Schmidt are two possible ins for the Rams.
Callum Cameron was good in his first match for more than two months at the weekend and is expected to hold his spot.
