Leading Senior Constable Mick Ryan said a Horsham man, 24, failed to give way at the roundabout at O'Callaghans Parade and Stawell Road and crashed into a station wagon.
Leading Sen Const Ryan said everyone involved escaped without injury.
"The 24-year-old man had his partner and a four-year-old child in the car," he said.
"There were no major injuries but everyone was in a bit of shock."
Leading Sen Const Ryan said the offending driver was issued with a ticket for failing to give way.
The man's Holden Statesman was written off and the station wagon sustained minor damage.
