Detective Senior Constable Stephen Oliver said investigators found firearms, motorcycles, tools and a tradesman’s trailer while searching the property on Wednesday.
An Ararat man and a Ballarat man, both in their early 20s, were arrested and charged with crimes including theft, having handled stolen goods, firearms offences and having possession of a small amount of crystal methamphetamine.
Det Sen Const Oliver said the tools and trailer were linked to burglaries from a Ballarat address on Wednesday last week.
“The tradesman was pretty happy about that because he hadn’t been able to work for a week without his tools,” he said.
