The centre closed on Thursday after five of its six staff left.
Service communications adviser Erin Lagoudakis said the service had advertised for new staff, including a manager.
She said there had been no suitable applicants for the manager’s position so far.
Ms Lagoudakis said in the interest of safety, the centre would not re-open until all positions were filled.
September 23 is the tentative date for re-opening.
Ms Lagoudakis said the service would continue to update people on the centre’s situation.
