Umpires: F. Marklew, D. Hutchins and A. Wright.
Last time they met: Round five, 2014. Laharum 9.7 (61) d Swifts 4.6 (30).
SWIFTS hope consistency and home ground advantage will help them spoil reigning premier Laharum’s undefeated season at North Park on Saturday.
Baggies co-coach Paul Hanns said his team believed it was capable of knocking off the Mountain Men after losing by only five goals in their previous meeting.
He said the team had nearly settled on its best line-up, with Brett Hargreaves shaping as the only big inclusion for this week.
Co-coach Ben Martin will not play after being suspended at the tribunal on Wednesday night.
Martin was reported for striking Noradjuha-Quantong’s Lachie Wilson at the weekend.
Wilson was also charged with striking Martin.
Hanns said a settled line-up would help the side.
“This would be close to the fewest changes we’ve had to make to the side all year,” he said.
“We always match up pretty well against Laharum and it’s a close encounter.
“We think we’re back on track now.”
Wet weather is forecast for Saturday's game, similar to the conditions of the sides’ last encounter at Cameron Oval.
Both teams, however, believe the weather will have little bearing on the outcome.
Laharum’s Shannon Argall said his side backed itself to win in any conditions.
“We’re confident we can beat them whether it’s a sunny day or heavy rain,” he said.
“You always know they’re going to be very competitive at home in Stawell, so it will be a tough game.”
Argall said star forward Dylan Parish was once again a chance to return, while Joe Harrison might be given a rest.
