Breuer, who was appointed to the Saints' coaching job in February, has led the club to nine wins from 13 matches this season.
The Saints sit in third spot on the ladder with three rounds to play before this year's Wimmera Football League finals.
Saints president Roger Sordello said having Breuer on board for next season was a big boost.
"It can only benefit the club," he said.
"He's done a fantastic job and we as a club were really keen for him to go again.
"We believe he's more than the right fit for us."
Sordello said it would give the club stability moving forward.
"We didn't want to take the focus off where we are this year it was just about the stability of the club," he said.
"Our focus is still on this year, but Shayne's been great and the professionalism he has brought has taken the club to another level."
Breuer, a former AFL footballer with Port Adelaide and Geelong, said it had not taken long to adapt to life at Coughlin Park after making the move from Horsham District league club Kalkee this year.
"The club's been fantastic," he said.
"It's not only welcomed me, but also my family with open arms."
Breuer said it was great knowing he would continue on next season, but his focus was on the next three rounds and an imminent finals campaign.
"We had a bit of a meeting at the start of the week and my main focus is on this year and the group we've got," he said.
"We're playing consistently, which is good and doing what we've talked about consistently."
Playing assistant coach Alexander McRae will also continue his role next season.
Breuer said he was pleased to be working with McRae again.
"I'm happy to be doing it with Xander again," he said.
"He's been fantastic and to have him back on board as an assistant is fantastic as well."
