Warracknabeal College school captain and Yarriambiack Shire Young Achiever of the Year Maddy Jeffery is guest speaker at the meeting.
She will discuss a range of youth issues.
Miss Jeffery said body image was a major issue for many young girls because of social pressures and media focus.
"I've experienced body image issues a bit and a lot of my friends have experienced the pressures of having to look like a Barbie doll," Miss Jeffery said.
"Young children need to learn early on not to have such high expectations of themselves.
"I educated myself on how to deal with the problem and I want to share my experience."
Miss Jeffery said she was looking forward to presenting and sharing her views.
CARG group leader John Aitken said the meeting would also include an update on the progress of community garden projects at Hopetoun, Beulah and Warracknabeal.
* The August 12 meeting is in the PAG room of the Warracknabeal Hospital at 7pm.
Entry is from the Noall Street carpark.
Supper is provided after the meeting and all community members interested in the future of the region's health are welcome to attend.
