Yolande Grosser said more than 110 people had volunteered, including members of several youth groups.
“We are looking for a few more to man the activities,” she said.
This year’s event promises to be bigger than the last, with more food, rides, entertainment and fun bags.
Mrs Grosser said organisers had doubled the number of barbecues and amount of popcorn available.
Mrs Grosser said parents would not have to deny their children anything on the day, because the entire event was free.
A Wimmera church choir will join Christian children’s musicians Sean W. Smith and Chris Jaensch on the stage at Horsham Soundshell with performances starting at 3pm.
The event starts at noon on August 31.
Mrs Grosser said a range of rides and activities would run until the performances started.
She encouraged people to stay until the end, when prizes including an Apple iPad Air and two $350 birthday party packs would be awarded.
“There is a scratchie on each child’s activity pass,” Mrs Grosser said.
“Underneath is a number, which is each child’s ticket in the draw.”
Volunteers will distribute 1800 packs containing lollies, colouring pictures, stickers and a devotional booklet.
Mrs Grosser said prospective volunteers could email her at yolande.grosser6@bigpond.com to get involved or for more information.
