About 45 students will perform in the show, which chronicles young Mowgli’s adventures growing up in the animal kingdom.
Director Kate Farnham said the school decided to present another Disney classic after the success of last year’s show, Aladdin.
She said students and staff started work on the show in term one and were in the midst of an intensive 10-week rehearsal and preparation period.
Co-director Janine Kemp said most of the school’s students were involved in some way.
“We’ve had people in art classes making sets and staff and students helping out with costumes,” she said.
“Some students have made posters to hang up at the school. It’s about including as many people as possible.”
Mrs Kemp said annual productions brought students together.
“There aren’t many activities that involve students from year seven to year 12,” she said.
“They interact together easily and there is a lot of fun and friendship.”
The Jungle Book will be performed at Wesley Performing Arts Centre on August 28, 29 and 30 at 8pm.
