The Cougars are guaranteed to finish fourth and play off in an elimination final, regardless of the result.
But whether the Cougars play Bordertown, which sits sixth, in the first week of finals, or Keith, which sits fifth but has a bye, will be up to them.
Reeve said the side's 2012 grand final loss to the Roosters would provide added motivation.
"I'd love nothing better than to beat them, but we'll have to play well," he said.
"We've got the opportunity to keep Bordertown out of finals and that would be great.
"We'll use that as a bit of firepower at the weekend."
The injury-ravaged Cougars have lost their past two games, including a shock loss to Lucindale at the weekend which cost the side a double chance.
Reeve said captain Jonno Hicks, broken leg, and James Turner, hamstring both key defenders were definite outs, while star midfielder Dylan Williams is battling a calf strain.
But another pivotal on-baller, Paul Adlington who has not played since round nine should return after breaking his foot.
Reeve said key to the Cougars' chances of winning would be improved workrate and quick ball movement.
"I think we were pretty stagnant at the weekend," he said.
"We just went away from
everything we had pretty much done previously."
The Roosters will carry winning form into the clash, with back-to-back victories against Naracoorte and Kybybolite.
Reeve said his side would have to be wary of the Roosters' strong spine, including ruckman Rory Tink and key forwards Jed Jarrett and Lee Staple.
Border Districts will look to break its 11-game losing streak at Kingston.
Both sides have just two wins for the season and a loss could leave them in danger of claiming the wooden spoon if bottom side Kybybolite can upset Lucindale.
The Saints claimed the points by just three kicks when the teams met more than one month ago.
In other matches, minor premier Padthaway will face off in a blockbuster against second-placed Penola, while Mundulla should be too strong for Naracoorte.
