WEDDERBURN'S Mark Lloyd celebrated a superb debut North Central Football League season by winning the league's best and fairest - the Feeny Medal - at Wycheproof on Wednesday night.

Lloyd, a playing assistant coach at the Redbacks, polled 18 votes, finishing four ahead of nearest rival and St Arnaud coach James McNamee.
The midfielder joined the Redbacks from Bendigo league club Golden Square - where he played with now Redbacks coach Luke Rosa - at the end of last year.
Lloyd enjoyed a stellar start to the season, polling 15 of his 18 votes in the first seven rounds.
He was also one of the league's standout performers in its interleague loss to the Wimmera league.
But the Redbacks star was held voteless from round eight up until round 18.
Lloyd entered the penultimate round just one vote ahead of McNamee.
However he polled three votes in the Redbacks win over the Saints, with McNamee receiving no votes.
McNamee won the Keith Chalmers memorial award.
Rounding out the top five vote-getters were Redbacks key forward Brady Herdman, 12, and Birchip-Watchem duo Alex Hutchins and Daniel Castellano, who both picked up 11 votes.
Redback Sam Barnes won the league goal-kicking award with 94 goals, while Donald's Brody Haddow was named the rookie of the year.
St Arnaud's Zach Notting came away with the reserves best and fairest.
Notting polled 18 votes to beat Donald's Dion Hawkes, 15, and Charlton's Daniel Lloyd, 10, for the award.
In the under-16s, Boort's Dylan Hatcher pipped team-mate Nathan Twigg for the best and fairest.
Hatcher polled 24 votes, one more than Twigg, with Wedderburn's Tom Campbell picking up 18 votes to finish third.
Wedderburn won the club championship ahead of St Arnaud, while Charlton won the most disciplined club award.
Wycheproof-Narraport's James Coatsworth won the Tooleybuc Sporting Club presidents award and St Arnaud's Jordan Harris won the under-16's best team player award.
Wedderburn's Cameron Taylor won the reserves goal-kicking with 42, while Boort's Dion Robertson won the under-16s goal-kicking with 57.
