Cr Grimble spent time at Horsham Primary School for the 13th annual Principal for a Day event on Tuesday.
School principal Chris Walter said it was a pleasure to host Cr Grimble.
He said Cr Grimble was keen to join in a variety of activities such as working in classes, sharing ideas with staff, meeting school community members and exchanging insights with them.
"It provided us with an excellent opportunity to enable someone from the business community to gain an insight into the learning environment at our school," he said.
Cr Grimble said the day was a great way for schools and the broader community to work together in preparing children for the future.
Member for Lowan Hugh Delahunty enjoyed being Principal for a Day at Horsham College earlier this month.
"I was thrilled to be at the college and be principal for the day," he said.
Mr Delahunty's time in the hot seat included discussion about the college's redevelopment.
The State Government will contribute $10 million to the project half the amount the college originally sought.
Principal for a Day is an Australian Council for Educational Research initiative, in partnership with the Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.
