Parents, Teachers and Friends Association member Kerri Nichols said the students paired up with their buddies to plant trees around the Horsham school's oval.
"We do it once a year for National Schools Tree Planting Day, but we didn't get around to doing it on the actual day," she said.
"It's a good opportunity for the students to interact and to do something for the environment."
Mrs Nichols said the project also created a sense of ownership.
"The students check on the trees and shrubs throughout the year," she said.
"As they grow, so will their trees."
Mrs Nichols said the students planted about 75 native trees, bushes and shrubs to create shelter near the oval.
"It's a great project and it's one we'll do again next year," she said.
