Tickets went on sale at 9am on Monday and while other club members were able to secure seats, it appears North's fans were locked out due to their barcodes not working.
North Melbourne said on its club website that it was aware of the issues with the Ticketek/AFL system, but said that members should be able to purchase tickets despite the morning's delays.
"The North Melbourne bays are member protected, meaning there will be seats available in the club designated areas regardless of the delays," the club said.
@3AWisfootball @NorthKangaroos just another way of the afl screwing the kangaroos. #alwayssomething — paul nielsen (@boof08) September 1, 2014

Fans also reported issues with the Ticketek website, with some complaining they had been paying more for tickets than expected.
AFL commercial operations manager Darren Birch alleviated fears there had been any disadvantage to Kangaroos fans.
"There was a small number of North Melbourne members who were unable to purchase this morning out of their allocation. That was an issue that was resolved quickly by Ticketek," Birch said.
"North Mebourne members have a specific allocation to buy out of, and that was protected, so as soon as that technicality was resolved, North Melbourne members were able to buy tickets. But there was a small glitch in the system. We've rectified it as soon as we became aware of it."
