FIVE YEARS AGO
The heat was on Powercor at a Royal Commission hearing in Horsham as questions were asked about the maintenance of the power pole that caused Horsham's Remlaw fire on Black Saturday. The 2009 Victorian Bushfire Royal Commission hearing heard evidence that a conductor fell from the top of a power pole on Alan Peterson's property in Remlaw Road, causing a fire that burnt 2300 hectares, eight occupied houses, Horsham Golf Course clubhouse, sheds, stock, fencing and fodder.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
