Both Goodes and Austin, who are Western Bulldogs-listed players, played in Footscray's breakthrough VFL premiership win, while on the other side of the continent Delahunty played in Subiaco's upset WAFL triumph.
Goodes, 30, collected 30 disposals and received the Norm Goss Medal for best on ground in the Bulldogs 16.13 (109) to 13.9 (87) victory against Box Hill.
It finished a brilliant season for the Bulldogs' utility, who also won Footscray's best and fairest award.
Goodes said it was a thrill to play in the Bulldogs' first major trophy triumph since 1954.
"It's an amazing feeling, especially with these blokes, having spent the past four years with most of them," he told Bulldogs TV after the match.
"Being such a young side too and having some older players around them, just that belief, that will to want to grind out a game for four quarters, even when we were three goals down against a quality team.
"To win this one is an absolute honour."
The Dimboola product had 20 disposals at the main break as the Bulldogs led the Hawks by just one point.
The Hawks claimed a three-goal lead early in the final quarter, before the Bulldogs finished strong to win in their first VFL season after ending their affiliation with Williamstown.
Goodes and former Jeparit-Rainbow junior Austin enjoyed success against two fellow Wimmera-Mallee footballers.
Hawthorn-listed Kyle Cheney, from the Warrack Eagles, and Dallas Willsmore, from Walpeup-Underbool, both played for Box Hill.
In the WAFL, former Minyip-Murtoa footballer Delahunty picked up 16 disposals for Subiaco as the side edged past premiership favourite East Perth in wet conditions at Patersons Stadium.
The Lions led by four points at half-time, before running out 11.16 (82) to 9.12 (66) victors.
It was Delahunty's first season with the Lions after moving from VFL side Frankston. Injury meant Delahunty, 23, missed much of the second half of the season and had to withdraw from the WAFL representative squad.
But the versatile tall utility returned in round 23 to finish the season strongly, playing in Subiaco's three finals matches.
Delahunty played 15 games for the season and averaged more than 17 disposals a game.
