Pigeons skipper Lachie Jones won the toss and elected to bat first, with the visitors compiling a sizeable 6-255 from their 45 overs.
Opener Sandy Hodge, first-drop Jones and second-drop Chris Hopper led the way with the bat for the Pigeons.
Hodge, 55 runs, and Jones, 83, combined for a 122-run second-wicket stand, before Jones and Hopper added a further 76 runs for the third wicket.
Mal Adams was the pick of the Mountain Men bowlers, finishing with 2-22, while Heath MacInnes also chimed in with two wickets.
The Mountain Men's chase began strongly, with openers Josh Mahoney and Ben Peucker taking the hosts past 50 without loss.
But Mahoney, Damien Bunworth and Mal Adams were dismissed in the space of two runs as the Mountain Men stumbled from 0-63 to 3-65.
Peucker, 82, continued before being dismissed with the hosts still needing another 126 runs to win.
MacInnes, 32, and Robbie Miller, 30, combined, but again Laharum lost wickets in a flurry to go from 6-175 to 9-180.
Dan Mibus and Colin Williams added 43 runs for the final wicket, but, with two and a half overs remaining, Jones trapped Williams leg before wicket to end a brave stand.
Jones finished with 4-23, with fellow left-armer Chris Hopper picking up three wickets.
Jung Tigers also enjoyed its first win of the season after securing a nailbiting three-run win against Noradjuha-Toolondo at Noradjuha.
The hosts sent in the Tigers, which put together 8-238 from their allotted overs.
Tiger Dan Brody top-scored with 56, with handy contributions from Lachie Campbell, 41, and Marty Knight, 32.
John Heard was the Bullants' only multiple wicket-taker, finishing with 4-36 from seven overs.
At the crease, the Bullants were anchored by second-drop Rowan Scott, who came in for his side at 2-64 and departed at 5-203.
Scott top-scored with 62 and Jordan Huff contributed 40.
The Bullants needed eight to win off the final over and the experience of veteran Tiger bowler David Puls shone through.
Only two runs came off the first five balls, with three off the final ball not enough to see the Bullants home.
Puls finished with 2-26 off his nine overs. Knight was also economical, picking up 1-25 off 10.
Rup-Minyip accounted for Horsham Saints with ease at Coughlin Park on the back of another big knock from Travis Hair.
Dropped catches hurt the Saints, as Hair smashed an undefeated 93 to take the Blue Panthers to 3-181 after 45 overs. Opener Leigh Funcke, 39, and Jamie Byrne, 22 not out, were also important with the bat.
Saints openers Tony Caccaviello and Josh Carroll were the pick of the hosts' bowlers, finishing with a wicket each.
The Saints' run chase never got going, as the Blue Panthers picked up wickets at regular intervals.
Only Carroll, 23 not out, and Mark Crafter, 21, passed 20 for the Saints, who were dismissed for 125 inside the 37th over.
Craig Morgan, Paul Morgan, captain Brent Hudson and Byrne all picked up two wickets.
