The Southern Cross Challenge is an interstate competition for under-14 and under-15 players and will be played in Albury in January.
Horsham's Tate Fennell, Jeremiah McKenzie, Maggie Caris and Jordie McAuliffe were all picked after excelling in the academy program.
The four were part of 11 Wimmera juniors who were picked at the initial academy tryouts in March.
The 11 athletes participated in camps in Horsham and Portland, with the outstanding performers invited to participate in the end-of-year academy camp in Shepparton earlier this month.
Fennell, McKenzie, Caris and McAuliffe were the only Wimmera players invited to Shepparton and all four made it through to the Southern Cross Challenge.
Horsham academy network coach Tony Sleep said the efforts of the four players invited to Albury and the other seven who were part of the academy program had been exemplary.
"All the academy athletes we had this year were extremely hard-working and engaged," he said.
"To send four players to the Southern Cross Challenge is an excellent result for the association and for them with all the hard work they put in.
"It shows Horsham basketball has a pretty bright future."
