Dimboola Agricultural and Pastoral Society secretary Jan John said the show’s success was a credit to the team who put together the annual event.
“It went really well and the stewards and the committee need to be thanked,’’ she said.
“They worked so hard in the lead-up to the show and on the day.”
Ms John said there were wonderful displays in all show categories.
She said the children’s displays were the most popular.
“There were magnificent displays from the primary schools,” she said.
“Parents and grandparents love to see what the children have done.”
Ms John praised entrants in the cooking section. She said food was of a high quality.
The number of horses on show increased from last year.
Other popular activities included Clydesdale wagon rides and sheep shearing.
A Tooko Wildlife Exhibition featured snakes, lizards and dingo puppies.
Ms John said the weather was perfect for a show day.
“The weather was great but we need some rain now,” she said.
Ms John said damage to a caravan after the show on Saturday night was a dampener to the weekend.
She said police were investigating the matter.
