6PM:
A bushfire burning seven kilometres north-east Natimuk is now contained.
Lighting caused the fire.
Three appliances are still on scene.
5.50PM:
5.42PM: The Minyip grass fire is now safe.
5.30PM: A small grass fire has started at Minyip. The CFA has put out advice warnings for Ozenkadnook, Dopewora, Kangawall and Goroke for the Ozenkadnook fire, 10 kilometres south-west of Goroke, adjacent to Bulls State Forest. There is also an advice warning for Dattuck.
The authority says there is no threat to communities.
Smoke will be visible from nearby communities and roads.
5.15PM: There is a small grass fire burning 10 kilometres south-west of Goroke.
There are two appliances at the scene.
The CFA says there is also a five-hectare bushfire seven kilometres north-east of Natimuk and a 25-hectare bushfire 19 kilometres north-west of Hopetoun.
5PM: LIGHTNING has caused a bushfire near Natimuk.
There is also a bushfire about 19 kilometres north-west of Hopetoun.
The Department of Environment and Primary Industries advised the fire was not a threat to communities at this stage.
The department advised smoke would be visible in the area and asked people to monitor for signs of change.
The cause and size of the fire is unknown.
Near Natimuk, a small grass fire started about 4pm at Polkemmet Road.
The fire is now controlled.
Country Fire Authority District 17 operations officer Peter Bell said the fire was not a concern.
"It is only a small fire at this stage and it is down along the river," he said.
Mr Bell said with more lightning predicted there was a chance of more fires occurring.
There is also a small grass fire burning in Ozenkadnook.
