The founder of one of Australian music’s greatest success stories has credited the Awakenings Festival for putting Horsham ‘on the map’. Jonathon Welch, founding music director of the Choir of Hope and Inspiration, formerly the Choir of Hard Knocks, said the festival was a unique event and its success reflected the community’s caring and accepting nature.
