Conroy Cruss is a New York private eye working to solve the case of a stolen diamond necklace.
The original musical comedy was written, produced and directed by performing arts teacher Larissa Riddell with Stephanie Eagle as vocal director and Michelle Watson and Fiona Ryan as set artists and co-ordinators.
Miss Riddell said the students had been enthusiastic about being a part of the musical.
“There were close to 200 students auditioning for this year’s show,” she said.
Miss Riddell said 123 students from grades three to six were involved in this year’s production as cast members.
She said other students were involved in a range of roles including painting, ushering and stage crew.
Miss Riddell said students were excited to perform the production, which they had been working on since term three.
Grade six student Ally Janetzki plays Cecilia Grosvenor in the musical. She said she was enjoying the experience.
“I’ve enjoyed working with people I don’t usually mix with in everyday school and I’ve enjoyed learning how to be a better actor,” she said.
Miss Riddell said the musical had a lot of support from the school community.
“Parents help with the costumes, teachers assist backstage during the performances and the office staff jump on board with ticketing, program design and advertising,” she said.
“It’s a real team effort.”
Conroy Cruss in... The Clueless Case starts on Wednesday, with extra shows on Thusday and Friday at 7.30pm at the Wesley Performing Arts Centre.
Miss Riddell said tickets were available from the Horsham West Primary School office and people could call 5382 1285 to book.
