The camp is the last of its kind in Australia and was set to fold due to a lack of organisers.
Nurse and vice-camp leader Amanda Wilson said Horsham East Rotary Club approached the Asthma Foundation of Victoria Horsham branch to help continue the camp.
"They said they would do whatever they could to make it work," she said.
The branch took a vote at the weekend, with most voting to continue the camp.
Camp secretary Sue Heron said the branch would meet with Asthma Foundation Victoria chief executive Robin Ould next month to discuss office bearers.
She will retire as camp secretary this year.
Children from across Victoria converged on Tandara Lutheran Camp in Halls Gap for the 25th annual Wimmera Asthma Camp at the weekend.
Thirty-three campers aged six to 12 enjoyed a range of activities including bush walks, outdoor games and education sessions.
The children learnt how to use their puffers and spacers correctly and to measure their lung function by using a peak flow meter.
Mrs Heron said camp leader for 2014 Robert Swiger did a fantastic job running the camp.
"We've made huge impacts in childrens' lives," she said.
Mrs Wilson said the camp was a success.
"The kids adore it, the parents appreciate it and there are long-term outcomes," she said.
This year's team comprised general practitioner David Wilson, three Wimmera asthma nurse educators, members of the Horsham branch, two third-year medical students from Deakin University and one former intern who has continued to return to the camp, three registered nurses and one enrolled nurse.
Mrs Wilson said anyone wanting to get involved could call her on 0429 846 334.
The next camp will be from October 23 to 25 next year.
