Horsham's St Brigid’s College teacher Rhona van Veldhuisen said this year’s exam questions were tough but fair.
“It all comes down to who studies and who doesn’t,” she said.
“They’ve all done admirably.”
St Brigid’s College students felt relieved to have finished one of the longest exams in the curriculum.
Aspiring pharmacist Taylor Besford said the stress was not getting to her.
“I was surprised how calm I was the night before,” she said.
Madeline Wood said good preparation helped her write her three essays.
“It was easy to remember quotes,” she said.
Mikayla McAuliffe said they were well prepared for the exam period.
“We’ve been practising for this for 13 years,” she said.
“I saw it as a challenge.”
The students said the next tough exams would be physics and mathematical methods.
They said they would do a wide range of things next year including working, taking a gap year and going on to university.
