Five cast members have been nominated for awards.
Nick Wilson was nominated for best cameo performance for his role as the palace guard.
Belinda Elliott, Amy Anselmi and Larissa Riddell were nominated for best ensemble performance for their roles as the old ladies.
Pam Deckert received a commendation for best actress in a lead role for her performance as Puss.
Production co-producer Simon Dandy said the awards recognised non-professional productions.
‘‘We were up against Melbourne companies with a lot bigger budgets than ours,’’ he said.
‘‘It is fantastic news and really great exposure for us.’’
Mr Dandy said in the past five years, every Horsham Arts Council’s production had received nominations.
‘‘It is a testament to the quality of musical theatre the council produces,’’ he said.
Mr Dandy said the awards were judged by a panel, which visited productions statewide.
‘‘This year nominations were selected from 61 productions, so this is an amazing achievement,’’ he said.
He said the awards ceremony would be on December 13.
‘‘No doubt, a contingent of Horsham Arts Council members will be travelling down to support our nominees and be part of what is traditionally a wonderful night of entertainment,’’ he said.
