A truck driver had his b double vehicle impounded under hoon legislation after police found a mother and her 14-month-old child travelling in the rear cabin.

Police say the truck only had two seats meaning the driver had committed the offence of overcrowding.
Officers from the heavy vehicle unit intercepted the truck on the Western Highway at Rockbank about 12.30pm on Saturday.
Police say the woman and child were travelling without appropriate restraints.
The truck will be impounded for 30 days and will cost the driver $3401 for its release.
Its owner attended the scene with a prime mover to remove the truck's load.
The driver, 45, of Dandenong, is also accused of discrepancies in work diaries.
He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
